Sweet Carrot Raisin and Nut Bread

2 1/4 ts Active dry yeast
2 1/4 c Bread flour
3/4 c Rye flour
1/4 c Sugar, PLUS 2 tablespoons
1 1/2 ts Salt
1 1/2 ts Ground ginger
1 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
3 tb Vegetable oil
1 Egg
2 1/4 c Carrots, finely chopped or grated
1/3 c Water
1/3 c Raisins
1/3 c Chopped walnuts


Add all ingredients except the raisins and walnuts in the order suggested by your abm manual and process on the basic bread cycle.

At the beeper (or a few minutes before the end of the kneading cycle), add the raisins and nuts.
